Blackjack free online is a game of chance, also known as twenty one or in French, Vingt-et-un. It is played in land and online casinos around the world. Blackjack is one of the most accessible and popular casino games.
Blackjack players do not compete with each other, but with the dealer. The goal of the game is to collect a combination of cards that has a higher cost than the dealer, but do not cross the line of 21 points. If the sum of your points is more than 21, then this is called “busting” and you automatically lose, regardless of the dealer’s card combination.
The value of the hand in blackjack is determined by adding all the cards of the player. The value of each card is determined by its numerical value, and cards with faces (jack, queen, king) bring 10 points, an ace is considered 1 or 11, depending on which option is more profitable for a player or dealer. This combination is valued at 21 points and is called natural blackjack.
At the beginning of the game, players receive two cards face down, and the dealer puts out their cards as follows: one card face up, and the second down.
If the dealer has an ace, the player is given the opportunity to take out insurance by placing an additional bet up to half the amount of the initial bet, thereby protecting himself from losing money in the event of a natural blackjack with the dealer.
If the dealer does not have a natural blackjack, then the game continues. The player has four basic steps that he can take:
Hit (more) – the player asks the dealer for an additional card. You can take as many cards as you like until the total points are equal to 21 or there is no busting.
Stand (enough) – the player makes the dealer understand that he prefers to stay with the hand he has.
Split (split, separation) – if during the deal the player received two cards of the same value, then he may ask to split the deal into two hands. After that, the player must double the initial bet, after which the dealer will deal cards to each broken card.
Double Down (double) – the player doubles the initial bet, but after that he has the right to receive only one card.
In some variations of blackjack, the following action is available:
Surrender (I give up, refuse the game) – a player can refuse to continue playing if he believes that with this hand he will rather lose than win. Surrendering, the player loses only half the original bet.
